Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to work a hybrid schedule (3 days per week in office) in Gaithersburg, MD with some potential travel to our Manassas, VA headquarters office. 

 

This role requires a professional with a broad knowledge of all human resources functions including employment, benefits, leave, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be an organized, reliable, and results-driven professional who is capable of tackling various HR tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

1. HR Inquiries & Communication: Provide information to employees on various HR topics. Serve as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries, helping them understand benefits, leave policies, basic employee relations, and company procedures. Additionally, you'll document and route issues appropriately, ensuring effective communication within the organization. Your goal is to empower employees to be self-reliant while fostering a strong working relationship between HR and the workforce.

 

2. Employee & New Hire Support: Support new employees during the onboarding process, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to smoothly integrate into the organization.

 

3. Compliance & HR Analytics: Responsible for the accurate and confidential maintenance of employee records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with legal and company standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.2+ years experience as an HR generalist supporting employee relations, benefits questions, and varied HR support.  Proficiency with HRIS systems and experience utilizing UltiPro preferred.  HR Certification preferred.
