Our client is a worldwide leading leader in engineering, project management, manufacturing, and installation of structural building components. The company is headquartered in Europe with a global presence.
The North American division, based in Minneapolis, provides a complete business model, from assistance to architects in early stages of projects through completion of the project and providing post-sales services. Their strength lies in innovation and personnel, with successful teams in Sales and Estimating, Design and Engineering, Procurement, Production, Project Management, Site Management, and Quality. Supporting the design and build teams are corporate functions, including Accounting & Finance, Human Resources and Risk Management.
Reporting directly to the EVP, North America and functionally to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director/Vice President, Human Resources is an integral member of the senior leadership team. S/he will spearhead the design and implementation of fit-for-purpose People initiatives to drive organizational change and enhance employee experiences. This person will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the People's strategic services delivery, supporting the overall business strategy.
Key Position Responsibilities
- Develop a 2-year People plan aligned to the company's business plan and Group People priorities, focusing on improving operational productivity, capability management, culture and Employee Value Proposition.
- Assess the People implications of strategic business decisions in the context of the transformation, and develop recommendations.
- Lead the People workforce planning process integrating business need forecasts, gap analysis and target talent management interventions to ensure that the business has the right people, with the right skills in the right roles at the right time
- Contribute to developing and sustaining an aligned, empowered work culture and environment that attracts and retains the best talent in the organization.
- Provide trusted advice to the business leadership regarding effective People practices and solutions and coach and/or develop coaching skills with leaders as required.
- Provide advice regarding changes in the legal framework with respect to employment and identify recommended changes to Policies, systems and management programs as part of the EVP improvement.
- Act as a proactive member of the Global People community of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science, Business + Relevant Professional Experience.
- Strong generalist background with the ability to influence senior management.
- Experience crafting and executing an HR plan.
- Transformation experience.
- Business thinking coupled with resilience and adaptability.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Executive-level presence.
