We are searching for a dynamic Strategic Account Executive to maximize digital sales revenue. You will sell strategic print and digital solutions to current and new advertisers. We are looking for someone that has proven experience in selling and partnering with high level executives, regardless of industry. You will help their businesses grow by leveraging our rich history, media product suite, traffic, and digital data to reach their target audience. In this position you will manage a full sales cycle; prospecting, leading presentations, creating proposals, closing business opportunities, and managing post-sales campaign results. This is a hybrid role, you must live in or near Albany, NY and the ideal candidate will go to the Times Union office 3 days a week.
Exceed sales activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a monthly basis.
· Generate new leads through lead generation, cold calling, email marketing, networking and awareness of new businesses openings.
· Continually build a pipeline of new business and upsell opportunities.
· Become an expert on our digital and print products/services.
· Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast in Salesforce.com.
· Adaptable – you react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas to deal with them.
· Driven – you have self-assurance and competitive drive with high quality, organized, and repeatable results.
· 3 plus years of Business to Business outside sales (in advertising or media ).
· Proven success in new business acquisition and exceeding revenue goals.
· Technically savvy – Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.
· Strong business and financial acumen.
· A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
