What You Will Do
You will design, develop, integrate, and test innovative software updates for our cutting-edge Air Traffic Control (ATC) Product Line, supporting our dynamic software team.

You will engage in collaborative efforts with our software team and leadership, driving success in cost and schedule management for top-tier project outcomes.

Qualifications You Must Have
Education - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
U.S. Citizenship Required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working across the full software development lifecycle with C/C++ programming and structured programming in a Unix/Linux-based development environment.
Familiarity with object-oriented technology and programming languages, preferably Java. - Prior experience in software testing and debugging source code, including familiarity with ClearCase/ClearQuest, Jira, and Bitbucket for configuration management.
Knowledge of Unix, Red Hat Linux, Python, SQL, Matlab, and bash/ksh scripting.

Experience working in a collaborative team environment, requiring frequent multi-level communication with other engineering domains, program management, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of agile, continuous development/continuous integration (CD/CI), and automated testing concepts. Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD).
Experience with commercial or open-source test automation tools, environments, and frameworks such as Jenkins, Grafana dashboards, Gherkin/Cucumber, Selenium, CUnit/JUnit, and Kickstart.
Familiarity with databases, database schemas, and Entity Relationship models. Preferably has worked with a relational database such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

Experience using integrated software development tools, such as Eclipse, VSCode, and JetBrains.

Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller design pattern for graphical user interface design, and JavaScript and/or GUI frameworks such as Angular/React.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
