Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Directorate, you will play a critical role in the execution of integration and analysis activities for our SPY-6 Family of Radars and the GhostEye family of radars.

Responsibilities
  • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
  • Design and develop radar processing algorithms
  • Develop radar software requirements
  • Analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods
  • Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
  • Focus on signal processing and waveform design, electronic protection methods, phased array and digital beamforming technology, radar search, track and discrimination design, target and threat modeling, integration and test of large radar systems, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
  • Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
  • Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
  • Design experience in radar system areas such as antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
  • Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
  • Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
  • Masters/PhD in a STEM field
