Job Summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join our team in Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
  • Design and develop radar processing algorithms
  • Develop radar software requirements
  • Analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods
  • Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
  • Additional focus areas include signal processing and waveform design, electronic protection methods, phased array and digital beamforming technology, radar search, track and discrimination design, target and threat modeling, integration and test of large radar systems, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
  • Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
  • Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
  • Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
  • Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
  • Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
  • Masters/PhD in a STEM field
