Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their effectiveness and productivity.
  • Proactively recognizing the team’s accomplishments to improve morale.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the timely and efficient maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Coordinating and overseeing preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize uptime.
  • Overseeing troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment breakdowns, ensuring prompt and effective issue resolution to minimize production disruptions.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance activities. Coordinating with procurement to source necessary parts and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in maintenance activities. Conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness among maintenance staff.
  • Developing and managing the maintenance department budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support maintenance operations while minimizing costs.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations. Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance services, ensuring quality workmanship and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs. Preparing regular reports on maintenance performance, including downtime analysis, maintenance costs, and key performance indicators.


Core Competencies & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software systems.
  • Solid understanding and proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for both maintenance and people-related issues.
  • The ability to demonstrate integrity and humility in every situation.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
