HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER

Are you passionate about making a difference in public-sector HR? Pooling Resources, Inc. (dba POOL/PACT HR) a unique nonprofit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic team. We provide HR consulting and training services specifically tailored for local government entities across Nevada.


As an HRBP, you'll be a trusted partner to assigned local government members, offering expertise in public-sector HR, including employment law, performance management, and personnel administration. You'll also serve as a subject matter expert in various areas, while managing a range of key responsibilities.


Each HRBP serves as their assigned members' main HR contact to:

  • consult on HR issues,
  • facilitate HR-related training courses in-person and virtually, and
  • assist with policy development and application.


In addition, HRBPs:

  • conduct research and analysis;
  • develop written documents;
  • interpret laws, statutes, personnel policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; and
  • are assigned special projects.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • At least three years of progressively responsible Nevada local government human resources work experience
  • Two years of formal in-persona and virtual facilitation/training experience
  • Nationally recognized HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, IPMA-CP)
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Customer-service orientation
  • Passion to facilitate instructor-led training
  • Familiarity with rural Nevada


Our competitive salary starts at $75,000 and is dependent upon qualifications. Our incredible benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 18 days PTO accrued the first year plus 12 paid holidays, and employer-paid SEP IRA after one year.

HRBPs report to the General Manager and work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends, and are required to travel up to 25% of the time throughout rural Nevada, with some travel outside of the state.
