Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, aligning business objectives with employee needs and driving organizational success. This role requires a strong understanding of human resources principles, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance and support to senior leaders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to drive business results and improve employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training programs, employee communications, and other HR-related initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including terminations, counseling, coaching, and documentation.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, labor laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees, handling questions, interpreting, and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Advise business leaders on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards, and employee engagement.
  • Manage progressive disciplinary process and approvals.
  • Review exit interviews, analyze data, and report on trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate headcount, turnover, and other relevant HR metrics.

Requirements

  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in HR or HR-related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR experience in employee relations or HR business partner capacity.

Skills and Physical Demands

  • Skills: Hard Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, HR-specific software. Soft Skills: strong presentation skills, willingness and ability to learn from other departments, innovator, good verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, strong organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, ability to take constructive criticism, and strong work ethic.
  • Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
