Position Description:

Designs and develops microservices using programming languages and frameworks -- Java, Oracle, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Cloud. Rapidly deploys changes to production while minimizing risk using GitHub and Jenkins. Builds software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed experiences. Builds and deploys, highly automated, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure. Provides business solutions by developing multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing full stack development in a retail environment.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing full stack development in a retail environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) performing full stack development, using Java, Microservices, AWS, and Spring MVC; developing Web based applications using JSP, Java, Spring security, Spring Core, and Web Services -- SOAP/REST.

DE designing, developing, testing, and releasing Web applications, using services and server technologies such as Java, Tomcat, and Linux; Cucumber and Manual testing; deploying Jenkins and\u00A0 Repliweb high performance web applications; and reviewing code quality and application security using SonarQube.

DE developing micro-services Application Programming Interface (API) definitions, using Swagger and Microsoft Visio; performing application monitoring using Splunk; and maintaining Soap UI, Eclipse, Intellij, Microsoft Visual studio, SQL Developer, and Toad APIs.

DE performing application containerization using Docker or Cloud Foundry; and storing and monitoring application, infrastructure, scaling, and reliability stacks using AWS Managed Services, AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI), and Rabbit MQ.
