Business Development Manager

Sincere Developers and Builders is adding a Business Development Manager to its growing team of construction professionals to originate new business opportunities and help convert them into contract awards. The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record of finding and developing client relationships and assisting in the closing process of the sales cycle. The measure of success for this position is the volume of opportunities created and contract awards per year. A successful individual should be able to generate a steady volume of new qualified opportunities in various commercial construction sectors (including retail, healthcare, warehouse and QSR) and support the team in converting awards. The position reports to the President and Vice President of the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Generating opportunities and converting wins by:
- Maintaining client contacts and relationships that generate new business opportunities
- Identifying and securing new leads and opportunities with qualified client organizations
- Collaborating with Sincere's executive, estimating, and operations team members to move opportunities to closing stage
- Has the ability to be the main point of contact with customer through the RFQ, RFP, and closing phase
- Developing and executing strategy for pursuing real opportunities, including proposal prep (content and strategy), presentations, negotiations, and customer relationship development
- Maintaining contact with the customer through pre-development and early preconstruction phases
- Assisting high level executives in closing awards

- High level of sophistication, strong knowledge of our business and clients’ businesses
- Is an experienced networker who excels in developing relationships with business partners; a highly relationship-focused individual
- Deep understanding of commercial real estate business principles- experience delivering commercial real estate projects
- Strong leadership abilities - consistent, professional, and polished in communication
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to offer unique solutions and alternatives
- Is a strong critical thinker who understands how our pursuit efforts need to fit with our overall business strategy, and is capable of discerning quality business opportunities
- Well-developed strategy skills and ability to see opportunities to influence sales outcomes
- High level of technical project experience that can demonstrate knowledge to the customer and the internal Sincere team.
Job Specifications
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of successful experience in generating and securing awards for a general contractor or construction management firm, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the industry overall. This person should have some background in operations or estimating for a contractor, and should be an articulate, polished individual with a proven ability of establishing credibility and securing new relationships at a high level. This person should be drive to achieve results, persistent and willing to overcome adversity in the sales process. The right individual will be persuasive in interpersonal communications, and assertive when needed.
Compensation
