We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Finance Project Manager Consultant to join our team for a 3 to 4 month engagement on the East Coast. This role will be responsible for managing financial aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and providing financial advice and guidance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on international development and global health. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, with a solid understanding of international development, foreign assistance programs, and USAID funded global health initiatives.

Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Manage all financial aspects of projects, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including USAID and USG funding requirements.
3. Provide financial advice and guidance to project teams, helping to drive financial decision-making and strategy.
4. Prepare, send, and code invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Manage travel expenses and prepare expense reports for project teams.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date record keeping, including the review and close out of project files and reconciliation.
7. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.
8. Use advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports.
9. Utilize Word and PowerPoint to create presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in international finance, global health, and foreign assistance programs.
Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance role, preferably within the international development or global health sectors.
3. Previous experience with USAID and USG funded projects.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Experience with coding invoices and managing travel expenses.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Knowledge of international development and foreign assistance programs.
10. Ability to travel as required.
11. CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
