How you Will make a difference Assess and recommend corrective actions and/or procedures in regards to aspects and functions pertaining to the business office operations in a designated region
This includes training and providing the business office staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete all tasks assigned
Evaluate efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of all office staff in collaboration with the Administrator, FAB, and requirements set forth by Medicaid and Medicare
Evaluate accuracy of billing under Medicaid and Medicare guidelines set forth by state and federal government
Identify areas of concern and produce plan of correction
Provide educational training and hands on support as required
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the accounts receivable process and makes recommendations for improvement when applicable
Monitor cost reporting data, ensure data is accurate and completed in a timely fashion
Evaluate and address issues of poor performance with the Administrator, Business Office Manager, and other business office personnel
What you Need to make a Difference Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounts receivable; long term care preferred
Knowledge and experience with long term care accounts receivable practices
Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, as well as knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid (including other third-party insurance companies) billing practices
Good mathematical abilities, including calculating rates and percentages
Effective verbal and written English communication skills
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
