The Expertise We re Looking For

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in the financial services industry

  • Works effectively as part of a team, and successfully collaborates with business partners
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently to perform tasks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills can articulate clearly with all levels of employees

The Purpose of Your Role

The Board Finance team is responsible for providing the Fidelity Trustees with materials and analysis in support of their consideration of the Funds contracts with Fidelity. The team interacts with each business division and is focused primarily on the competitiveness of fund fees and the profitability of the mutual fund business.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead person for assigned distribution channel portion of Fund Profitability results; work with finance and business partners to understand how changes within the business impact Fund Profitability; report quarterly and annual results to broader team and senior leaders
  • Assist with preparation of materials for Fund Board meetings; provide backup support for materials; address questions from Trustees
  • Perform operational tasks related to assigned portion of Fund Profitability model; collaborate with technology partners to resolve any issues
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects, including Board-requested analyses, review of methodology, etc.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The team provides to each of the five Fidelity Boards of Trustees the Fund Profitability information and analysis they need in order to annually approve the Fidelity funds investment management, transfer agency, and pricing & bookkeeping contracts.
