GCM Contracting Solutions, Inc. is a leader in the construction and development industries, known for innovation and excellence across multiple sectors, including commercial construction, structural engineering, concrete solutions, and automated marine technology. With over 35 years of proven success, GCM is expanding its portfolio with new companies in structural engineering and development, which will require ground-up brand creation. Meanwhile, GCM’s established Design-Build Firm, Concrete Structural Firm, and Automated Marine Technology Distributor are each embarking on an exciting rebranding journey to modernize and strengthen their market positions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Director of Marketing to lead the branding and marketing efforts for GCM and its expanding group of companies. This is a unique opportunity to create distinct brands from the ground up for our new Structural Engineering and Development Firms, while leading the rebranding of our established GCM Design-Build Firm, Concrete Structural Firm, and Automated Marine Technology Distributor to reflect their growth, modernization, and continued industry leadership.
Reporting directly to the executive team, the Director of Marketing will oversee the full scope of marketing initiatives, working closely with division leaders to ensure successful brand development, rebranding, and market impact. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in brand building, multi-division marketing strategy, and an ability to balance unified messaging for GCM with tailored approaches for each company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Creation and Rebranding: Develop and implement new brand identities from the ground up for the Structural Engineering Firm and Development Firm, and lead the rebranding of GCM’s established Design-Build Firm, Concrete Structural Firm, and Automated Marine Technology Distributor to enhance their market position and visibility.
- Integrated Marketing Strategy: Design and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that elevates GCM’s master brand and drives awareness for each division, aligning with the overarching goals of the company.
- Content Leadership: Lead content development across divisions, creating case studies, whitepapers, articles, social media posts, videos, and other materials that showcase each brand’s unique expertise and contributions.
- Digital Marketing: Implement tailored digital marketing initiatives (SEO, PPC, social media, and email campaigns) to establish a robust online presence for each division, drive traffic, and generate leads.
- Website Development and Management: Oversee the creation and ongoing management of websites for the new brands and revamped sites for the rebranded firms, ensuring each site reflects the capabilities and expertise of its respective company.
- Collaboration with Sales and Business Development: Partner with sales teams across divisions to align marketing strategies with sales goals, focusing on lead generation and client acquisition efforts for each brand.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategic decisions, ensuring each brand effectively addresses market needs and stands out from competitors.
- Event Marketing: Manage event marketing, including trade shows, conferences, and industry events, to promote each brand’s expertise, foster relationships, and build recognition within targeted markets.
- Performance Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns for each division, refining strategies as needed to optimize outcomes and achieve key performance objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the marketing team, cultivating a high-performance environment focused on creativity, excellence, and the successful brand launch and rebranding.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on brand creation, rebranding, and strategic marketing, preferably within construction, development, or related industries.
- Proven experience in creating and launching brands and leading rebranding initiatives, with a track record of successful multi-brand marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and growth.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, brand management, content creation, and campaign analysis.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and with multiple stakeholders, managing diverse brand identities within a cohesive marketing framework.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM, and CMS systems).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with construction or development-related marketing, particularly in multi-division companies.
- Knowledge of automated marine technology, concrete construction, or structural engineering markets.
- Familiarity with the latest marketing technology and analytics tools for data-driven strategy optimization.
