Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and administration. This exciting role involves working closely with the HR team and other departments, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering excellent service to our employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
2. Utilize ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enterprise Payroll systems to manage payroll functions, including wage deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
4. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
5. Manage 401k contributions, benefits, and other deductions.
6. Conduct regular audits of payroll information to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
7. Handle payroll tax responsibilities, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
8. Process garnishment calculations and deductions.
9. Work closely with HR and other departments to improve payroll and HR processes.
10. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration OR relevant experience
2. 5+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enterprise Payroll systems.
4. Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including wages, benefits, and taxes.
5. Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
6. Experience with 401k administration and garnishment calculations.
7. Strong auditing skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies.
10. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
