Rocky Top BG Distributing is the exclusive distributor for BG Products, Inc. for middle and eastern Tennessee. BG Products (bgprod.com) is the nation’s leading supplier of automotive maintenance chemistry to automotive dealerships, independent repair shops and associated fleet service companies.


BG Products is the leader in the preventative maintenance automotive industry and provides cutting edge chemistry and equipment for dealerships, repair facilities, and various private and municipal vehicle fleets. Furthermore, BG’s distributors and sales representatives are second to none in customer care and training to provide our customers with the best technical and sales training in the industry. From service technician to service advisor to manager our representatives bring value to our customers in product knowledge, personnel training, and industry expertise.


Rocky Top BG Distributing is a distribution organization made up primarily of outside sales representatives. Most of the time our sales representatives are in the field in front of customers. Every day is different in this position. Days could be spent presenting new programs to existing customers, prospecting new customers, training customer personnel, and delivering product or equipment. The training of our sales representatives is ongoing as the automotive industry is constantly changing and developing. The successful candidate will receive a combination of in-house training as well as corporate training. This position also does not require any regular overnight travel and will be based in our Knoxville Tennessee market.


The successful candidate for this position will be an individual that exhibits a history of excellent communication and relationship building skills. Furthermore, they must be able to adapt to and show creativity in a complex and dynamic sales environment. Outside sales experience in the automotive industry would be helpful but is not a necessity. However, strong professional skills, ethics, and the ability to prioritize and act independently are critical for this position.
