:Kemper is seeking a Senior Power BI and Tableau Administrator preferably in downtown Chicago, IL or Jacksonville, FL, remote work with travel as needed to office locations.
Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with EDS BI Platforms, Enterprise Architecture, Field Engineering, DevOps, DBA, ETL, user community, and software vendor partners for supporting various initiatives in Power BI and Tableau applications. Configure, install, test, and maintain Power BI & Tableau application software for data sources like Snowflake, Postgres Oracle, SQL Server, etc., Maintain Power BI data gateway servers and DB instances/drivers. Day to day administration, report development, and maintenance activities for Power BI and Tableau applications– user onboarding and access control (security roles), maintenance of activity logs, usage monitoring, report development/enhancement, deployment, scheduling, platform/report performance tuning, and knowledge transfer/SME for user community and EDS BI platforms team Maintain proper back-up/restore operations. Provide support & troubleshoot technical issues and ensure system availability. Migrations from on-prem to cloud for both Kemper hosted AWS application servers and vendor hosted cloud services. Create Runbooks and How-to guides for different installation, configuration & support items. Analyze server usage, memory, and workload configuration. PL/T SQL coding for report development, data profiling, and performance tuning DAX language implementation in Power BI for report development Be the liaison and work effectively with Power BI and Tableau vendors.Position Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in a combination with Power BI and Tableau administration/report development. 5+ years of experience as a Power BI/Tableau application administrator where you have installed and performed software upgrades across different environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience developing reports in Power BI and Tableau 8+ years PL/T SQL coding experience. 4+ years Power Automate experience (PowerShell is a plus) Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows based cloud environments preferably in AWS. Good understanding of system networking, including firewalls, load balancers, storage, etc. Strong experience in providing operational support and problem resolution for large complex application environments. Demonstrated problem solving and quantitative skills. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work with multiple vendors Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent This position is a remote role and can work from a US based home.#LI-AK1
