Overall Purpose of your role as Quality Inspector

Ensure Quality services and support for all missions assigned to their site.

Reports to

Site Supervisor/Site Leads

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

· The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

· The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.

· Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.

· Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.

· Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.

· Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.

· Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.

Organization & Management

· Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.
