Vehicle Post-Inspector Job Description

U-Haul Company is seeking a skilled Vehicle Post-Inspector to join our team. As a Vehicle Post-Inspector, you will be responsible for performing final quality checks of vehicles to ensure they meet the highest possible standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations of equipment through multipoint inspections.
  • Verify part installation, labor performed, and quality of workmanship.
  • Report and repair any repair deficiencies.
  • Educate technicians on expected quality.
  • Continued learning via U-Haul education to stay up to date with current technology and the new fleet.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
  • Advanced understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Keen attention to detail.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
