Front Office MA Duties:

  • Provide a welcoming and comforting setting to incoming patients
  • Answer phones and direct callers to back-office staff
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Prepare new patient documents and enter new patient information
  • Collect insurance information & verify insurance
  • Process authorizations and referrals
  • Provide assistance to patients
  • Update all information in EMR system

Back Office MA Duties:

  • Room and assist patients
  • Take vitals, draw blood, give injections & administer medication
  • Review charts, update records, document patient visits in EMR system
  • Ear lavage
  • Process EKG s
  • Provide prescription information to patients
  • Prep rooms for next patient & sterilize instruments as needed
  • Back up the front desk as needed
  • Assist the Doctor with various procedures as requested

What are the qualifications?

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of Front Office experience
  • Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certificate
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Working knowledge of Medi-CAL, Medicare and managed care insurances
