Our IT Support Technicians provide support to all of our locations across Lafayette, Broussard, Opelousas, Abbeville, and Jennings.
As an IT Support Technician, your job is to maintain the organization's computer systems, both hardware and software, and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installing new or modifying existing hardware and peripheral devices
- Conducting diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function
- Maintaining email and intranet services
- Collaborating with the network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs and recommend changes
- Communicating with end users both over the phone, via email, and in person to understand and troubleshoot problems
- Assist with basic electrical work
- This position may require some physical activity such as lifting and moving computer equipment, crawling in tight spaces, and climbing ladders
What We're Looking For:
- An Associate's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
- At least 2 or more years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support is preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical, as well as existing network programs and capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Coachable and adept at time management
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
