Environmental Project Manager

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a self-motivated Environmental Project Manager with 5+ years of experience and a four-year degree in geology, engineering, or a relevant scientific discipline. The ideal candidate must understand the components of project management and be capable of completing multiple, technically accurate, on-time, and within-budget project assignments. This is considered a mid-level to Senior Project Management position depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Project Manager will oversee Michigan Part 213 fieldwork, including soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air sample collection techniques.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete Part 213 UST/LUST Initial Assessment Reports (IARs), Final Assessments Reports (FARs), and Closure Reports.
  • Experience and proficiency in completing Phase II ESA, BEA, and DDCC/ResAP.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies (EGLE, EPA, and/or local counterparts).
  • Manage client and project communication, scheduling, cost control, change orders, and management reports.
  • Assist with proposal scope preparation and project cost estimating.
  • Prepare and review appropriate technical reports.
  • Conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and wastewater samples; prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Oversee and document field operations/activities, and communicate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and on project teams.
  • Perform a variety of tasks to complete assignments and satisfy project demands with a can-do attitude.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in completing Michigan Part 213 fieldwork, including soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air sample collection techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in completing Part 213 UST/LUST Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessments Reports, and Closure Reports.
  • Experience in Phase II ESA, BEA, and DDCC/ResAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks regularly.
