Description & Details:

The Coordinator for Campus Activities is responsible for the development and implementation of diverse engagement opportunities for campus. This is accomplished through their advisement of Campus Attractions, the campus wide programming board and Volunteer Network. The Coordinator develops and implements Student Activities programs and activities that focus on student success, developing community, and fostering inclusion. The Coordinator actively assists with homecoming and welcome week planning, and assists with the coordination of community engagement activities. The position is an active collaborator with partners across campus and the community in creating and delivering comprehensive outside of classroom learning opportunities that will enable students to positively impact their communities.The Coordinator for Campus Activities is responsible for the advisement of the student programming boards Campus Attractions and Volunteer Network in the development, implementation, marketing, execution and evaluation of campus events. The position assists in the coordination of co-curricular service-based initiatives that engage NDSU students, support nonprofit partners, and address community needs. The Coordinator is responsible for the operational and administrative aspects of multiple simultaneous engagement activities and is an active collaborator with campus partners in the coordination of University-wide initiatives.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with frequent evenings and weekends required; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. summer and breaks with occasional later hours

Advertised Salary:

$45,000 + excellent benefits package

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS• Demonstrated commitment to working with and supporting diverse populations• Demonstrated organizational capabilities, detail orientation and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously• Previous involvement in a student organization in a leadership role• Experience coordinating events and activities• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Proficient computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or Leadership, Student Affairs/Student Development, Counseling, or related field• Ability to interview, train, and orient staff• Experience with a student run programming board• Experience with leadership development programming• Student Supervisory experience• Experience with curriculum design and learning outcome development and assessment
