Client is a leading modern, general-purpose database platform, designed to unleash the power of software and data for developers and the applications they build. We are seeking a Technical Writer who specializes in educational content creation, specifically for a new course on integrating Kotlin with Client
Position Profile
The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of database technologies and experience in educational content creation, specifically within the tech industry. This role does not require the candidate to be a developer but should have enough technical knowledge to understand and teach complex concepts around Kotlin and database integration.
Candidate Profile Experience Required: At least 1-2 years in roles such as technical writer, developer advocate, software engineer, or product management. Skills: Proficiency in creating and managing highly technical content. Ability to understand and articulate complex technical topics including database fundamentals, cloud-based distributed systems, and enterprise-grade security. Familiarity with code in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, or Go. Excellent collaboration skills and experience working across multiple organizational boundaries. Resourcefulness in handling complex and time-sensitive challenges.
Position Expectations Content Creation: Develop a comprehensive course that covers the integration of Kotlin with database technologies, including modules on database fundamentals, performance, and scalability. Documentation Responsibility: Create engaging and accurate tutorials, code samples, and instructional materials. Ensure technical accuracy and up-to-date content that aligns with the latest database and Kotlin developments. Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the documentation team to align on content standards and updates. Regularly report on course development progress and content quality to the Documentation leadership team.
Nice to Have Experience in a "Docs as Code " environment. Ability to perform basic coding and technical tasks to better understand and explain the database-Kotlin integration.
Success Measures Successful launch of the Kotlin with client course, with positive feedback from users. Consistent updates and maintenance of course content to ensure high-quality learning experiences. Active contribution to and maintenance of a glossary with common database terminology, ensuring clarity and consistency across all educational materials.
