POSITION SUMMARY:
Method Studios currently has openings for a project hire Modeler to work on projects within our VFX department. This position will be located in Santa Monica.
As a Company 3/Method Inc Modeler , you will help create and design accurate and efficient models in the assigned time frame as outlined by the project schedule. You will exhibit a high degree of technical skill and artistic judgment.
MAIN DUTIES:
Create models as required by the project; Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner; Set and refine technical standards for modelers to achieve; Follow Supervisor and Lead directions, ensuring models created are accurate and effective; Fully comprehend the requirements on the designs thereby creating models true to their designs; Be capable of taking direction and criticism well; Report technical and other potential problems to Leads and Supervisors in a timely fashion.WHAT YOU BRING:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role; Wide knowledge of Zbrush and Mari; Good knowledge of displacement map and normal map generation; Experience and knowledge of Maya; The ability to multitask and prioritize; Excellence as a team player; Solid organizational skills; Excellent communication skills. The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off. The benefits for eligible project hires and part-time employees working less than 25 hours per week in the US include retirement, select insurance benefits, and where required by law, health benefits. For roles filled in Canada and other territories, local benefits plan offerings will apply.
