Description

OVERVIEW 

Support the Corporate Controller in daily accounting processes and monthly reporting. Monthly activities include processing transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger support, financial analysis, projects as required and completing ad hoc requests. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Maintain a working knowledge of assigned areas to provide support with daily processes 

Process transactions for area of responsibility 

Assist Accounting Lead with monitoring exceptions and trouble-shooting issues 

Responsible for integrity of data supporting the financial statements 

Partner with other departments to ensure completeness of financial data 

Maintain a working knowledge of systems used in assigned area to support Corporate Controller in the role as area Subject Matter Expert (SME) 

Work with internal and external business partners to address and resolve questions or issues relating to transactions processed 

Assist with annual financial statement audit and other audits as needed 

Assist with projects as assigned 

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or current enrollment in upper division classes of accredited Accounting program or degree plan 

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE 

Highly organized and detail-oriented 

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

Proficiency in Excel functions and analysis techniques 

Ability to analyze problems and data, and present solutions 

Ability to understand systems and data flow 

 Experience with Vista Theater POS System is preferable, but not required. 

Experience with Great Plains accounting suite preferable, but not required. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills
