Job Summary

Oversee the day-to-day transactional, financial, and administrative operations for the Office of the Registrar. Manage multiple accounts by completing day-to-day financial tasks as well as providing direction and recommendations for the development and delivery of projects and initiatives. Facilitate communication related to department finances between OTR and the Provost Business Office, Purdue IT, and external vendors. Review and improve administrative processes to improve efficiency and capacity. Provide guidance to Registrar on administrative operations using discretion and independent judgment for the planning and execution of various activities. 
 

What We Are Looking For:

 

Required:

Bachelor's Degree.  
Minimum of (3) year of business administration, financial management, or related experience. 
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. 


Preferred:
Experience in higher education operations. 
Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in a large multi-campus research university.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, implement, and communicate University policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate originality, creativity, and ability to resolve complex issues daily.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide direction and oversee the day-to-day financial operations for the Office of the Registrar. 
  • Track expenses, process invoices and credit card charges, and analyze financial data. 
  • Facilitate communication related to department finances between OTR and the Provost Business Office, Purdue IT, and external vendors to ensure quality services and products. 
  • Create, receive, and process purchase orders through Ariba. 
  • Review department financial processes and systems and identify opportunities to streamline, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency. 
  • Develop and implement technology budget, identifying present and future needs and setting priorities, and authorizing hardware and software requests. 
  • Serve as liaison to Provost Business Office. 
  • Manage multiple accounts and provide recommendations for the development and delivery of projects and initiatives.
  • Manage non-financial administrative operations for the Office of the Registrar. 
  • Manage operations calendar and coordinate with Associate Registrars, other EM units, and IDA+A to ensure smooth connections across departments. 
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, serving as liaison between HR and hiring managers. 
  • Plan and organize large-scale events for Office of the Registrar. 
  • Manage operations of Educational Policy Committee for University Senate.
