Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure services projects for HRT. This role ensures projects are managed in accordance with PMI best practices, aligning with HRT's requirements and ensuring successful project completion.
Responsibilities Project Planning and Scheduling Develop a comprehensive Master Project Schedule in Microsoft Project, detailing planned events, milestones, resource allocation, deliverable due dates, and other activities organized chronologically from contract award to completion. Create and maintain a resource-loaded Gantt chart, subject to review and approval by HRT. Establish and maintain a Risk Register to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop an Issues Log to track, prioritize, and resolve project-related issues. Maintain a Decision Tracker to document and track key project decisions. Project Execution and Monitoring Organize and lead periodic project status meetings with stakeholders, documenting and distributing meeting minutes promptly. Prepare and submit periodic project status reports, summarizing milestone activities, planned activities for the coming period, encountered problems, and plans to address issues. Ensure project deliverables are developed according to the schedule and report on progress regularly. Monitor project progress, addressing any schedule constraints or changes, and update project documentation to ensure accuracy and currency. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting Ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication with all stakeholders, including HRT and Contractor personnel. Deliver regular progress reports on deliverable development, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Address and resolve any problems encountered during project execution, ensuring plans are in place to mitigate and address issues effectively. Quality and Compliance Ensure all project deliverables meet HRT's quality standards and expectations. Adhere to PMI best practices and standards throughout project execution. Maintain all project documentation, ensuring continual updates and accuracy to reflect the current project status. Requirements Education and Certification Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience Minimum of years of experience in project management, specifically in IT infrastructure services. Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project for project scheduling and management. Experience in developing and managing project documentation, including risk registers, issues logs, and decision trackers. Skills Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software (Microsoft Project). Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Knowledge In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud services. Familiarity with risk management and issue resolution strategies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the transit sector. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (, ITIL). Experience with infrastructure management tools (, SCCM, VMware, cloud platforms). Additional Considerations Project Management Methodology Adhere to PMI best practices and standards. Ensure project documentation artifacts such as the Master Project Schedule, Gantt charts, Risk Register, Issues Log, and Decision Tracker are continually maintained and updated. Periodic Reporting and Documentation Conduct and document periodic project status meetings. Provide regular status reports and progress updates. Address any schedule constraints or changes promptly and effectively.
