Job Summary

Responsible for creating, guiding and providing pricing, planning and inventory analysis to senior management in support of business unit decision making, being succinct on recommendations that outline both risks and opportunities. Defines and implements the overall pricing and inventory goals and tasks in terms of scope, success, timing and priorities. Challenges status quo to become a truth-seeker through data analytics and a broad understanding of our inventory and pricing strategies that will drive impact. Develops key partnerships across the organization with senior leaders. Sr Director will be responsible for providing key insights and trends for budget, forecasts and long range plan. Incorporates broad knowledge to address complex, unusual and critical issues and educates team to be self-propelled. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization’s business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Manages multiple teams of professionals.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages team workload to drive towards actionable business outcomes for pricing and inventory initiatives across all lines of business and sales models.
  • Creates and maintains key business relationships with our senior leadership in advertising and technology.
  • Develops and communicates goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics to reach goals.
  • Drives enterprise mindset into day to day tasks with team to challenge status quo.
  • Partners with Finance by providing pricing and inventory insights for budget, forecasts, and long range plan.
  • Ensures pricing and inventory programs progress, status reviews with corrective action plan
  • Identifies, designs and executes monetization opportunities. Gathers insights to develop a strong understanding of revenue drivers and user motivation and translates this into actionable business recommendations.
  • Performs analysis of revenue trends and performance to optimize revenue and user engagement. Provides insights that help to develop the growth strategy; including evaluating new market and product opportunities; and advises on approaches that maximize revenue.
  • Develops capacity models and forecast strategies. Assesses new advertising opportunities / products. Participates in communicating inventory landscape and key performance drivers within the organization.
  • Leads by example with a coaching culture, driving inclusion throughout own team and partner teams.
  • Continuously challenges and develops oneself to add skillsets to toolkit.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • May work in collaboration with business leaders, operations, product managers, sales, and data science teams to continually improve outcomes and optimize performance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
