Avionics Technician I
Location - California, MD
Requirements:
Perform aircraft maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, and modification of aircraft electrical/avionics systems Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Must be familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems Perform the troubleshooting and rewiring of complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties May be required to perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOCs) Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment.Qualifications:
(2) years' experience in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 6323 Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignment High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and base access. USN/USMC experience preferredPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required. Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead. Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline. Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties. If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks. If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours. If required must be able to perform confined space activities. Travel may be required.*Must be US Citizen to apply*
