Job Overview

This position is integral to the production of Controlled Pored Glass (CPG) materials, adhering to established and rigorous protocols. The role primarily involves working with solid phase chemistry utilized in oligonucleotide manufacturing.


The manufacturing process of CPG materials encompasses amine and nucleoside modifications of native CPG at various angstrom sizes, alongside enhancements with proprietary dyes and quenchers.

The Chemical Manufacturing Technician I will also oversee the maintenance of essential CPG equipment employed in these operations.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Execute assigned tasks in accordance with established protocols and methods, ensuring compliance with final specifications and timelines.
  • Manufacture robust protocols by demonstrating a solid understanding of routine tasks while collaborating with colleagues to meet critical objectives.
  • Draft and update standard operating procedures in line with LGC Quality guidelines.
  • Continuously manage the inventory of CPG products as directed by the Associate Supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all equipment is operational and coordinate with the CPG Manufacturing supervisor for optimal resource utilization.
  • Make recommendations to the supervisor regarding necessary resources to achieve objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Document real-time data on physical and electronic batch records, adhering to good documentation practices.
  • Comply with all company, departmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.
