A Better Tomorrow Therapy is a pediatric home health agency located in Phoenix, AZ. We provide Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Feeding Therapy to children aged 3-21 who have been diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, and Intellectual Disabilities. We are contracted with the Division of Developmental Disabilities and accept both private insurance and cash payments from clients. Our treatment approach is person-centered, and we prioritize the appreciation and appropriate compensation of our therapists, so that we can continue to serve the state of Arizona.
Job Description:
This role requires a positive, upbeat, energetic person who has experience with answering phones, emails, and possesses adequate computer skills. You will be responsible for answering the office's phones, taking messages, or directing calls as needed. You will call families on our referral list to learn about their child's needs and their availability to match them with one of our therapists. Additional responsibilities include inputting information into the EMR system, sending families intake forms, receiving completed forms, emailing therapists to check on the status of scheduling clients, and assisting with other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Gather all relevant demographic, insurance, and medical information from patients.
- Collaborate with DDD support coordinators to obtain patients' plans of care, planning documents, and authorizations.
- Utilize scheduling tools and referral systems to book patient appointments.
- Process referrals using the referral system, schedule appointments with patients, and import referral documents into patients' charts.
- Handle incoming calls and requests promptly and accurately.
- Communicate potential patient concerns to supervisors or leads at A Better Tomorrow Therapy.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all health records and member information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Smart Sheets, Google Drive, Email, and other internet sites.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Preferred experience with The Division of Developmental Disabilities and knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy.
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Hourly wage: $22.00/hour

- 30 hours paid time off

This is a remote position; however, the initial training requires in-person attendance for about 1-2 weeks at our Phoenix, Arizona location. You would also be required to meet in-person a few times a year or as needed for additional training.
A Better Tomorrow Therapy is looking for a candidate to join our administrative team This role will start in-person and then transition to working remotely.
