Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Intake Coordinator to join our team at MD Home Health. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing the patient intake process, ensuring seamless communication with customers and referral sources, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families throughout the intake process.
  • Register and admit patients at healthcare facilities, gathering information and creating patient records.
  • Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Uphold regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and organizing documents.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a medical setting is required.
  • Previous experience in home health and/or hospice is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of front desk operations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
