JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for design and development of new applications or enhancements to current applications. Perform as technical lead on projects of moderate to high complexity that impact multiple departments, systems, or work flows. In addition, function as mentor to those on the team who need assistance in growing their skills.

This role is intended onsite at PODS corporate center in Clearwater, FL. However, exceptions to the local/onsite requirement can be considered for the right candidate(s). The onsite working expectation is Monday - Thursday in office, Friday remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform technical design and lead technical design teams for new applications or enhancements to current applications
  • Perform development of new applications or enhancements to current applications
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our products and recommending innovative solutions to enhance our platform.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of existing applications.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr. Manager - Software Engineering
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
  • BS. in MIS, Computer Science or related field desired. Undergraduate degree in math, physics, engineering desirable
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries (like HTML, CSS, JS, ReactJS, KnockoutJS, etc.)
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in full stack development, with strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • 8+ years of proven experience databases (like, SQLServer, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • 8+ years in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • 8+ years in back-end technologies, including but not limited to C#, ASP.NET, Node.js, Python, or Java/Kotlin.
  • 5+ years of cloud experience focusing on migrating applications to cloud leveraging managed services (Azure preferred).
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience using tools like ADO, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, etc.
  • Drives automation initiatives across cross functional teams.
  • Collaborates with EA's on architectural patterns and guide teams to implement those patterns for consistency.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams and driving successful project delivery.
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience with issue detection and resolution steps with clear timelines.
  • Curious about new technologies and you're excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision to oversee and drive projects forward.
  • Responsible for carrying out technology objectives for multiple technical areas or disciplines.
  • Proficient understanding of organization's technology systems, operating model, technical methodologies, and technical delivery standards to effectively navigate and influence the organization.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives and managing priorities.
