Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Deliver software expertise for automation projects involving diverse technologies and equipment.
  • Plan, implement, and finalize automation equipment projects that incorporate software through the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to establish and fulfill the Business Requirement Document.
  • Develop hardware and network specifications in partnership with the Software Team and Client.
  • Participate in project and client meetings to provide software functionality support.
  • Assist in the formulation of roadmap documentation and strategies for products developed by Daifuku.
  • Support the creation and execution of software testing plans for both in-house and on-site evaluations.
  • Facilitate Client Training and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from the Software Project Execution Team to Client Support.
  • Project Management: Provide assistance to the overall project management team.
  • Oversee project financials related to software, including budgeting, forecasting, change requests, and monthly project reporting.
  • Manage software project resources across a geographically diverse organization.
  • Create and maintain a documented project timeline and keep comprehensive records of each project.
  • Deliver verbal and written updates on project progress.
  • Provide solutions within established budgets and timelines in accordance with Daifuku project standards.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to manage direct reports and oversee project execution.
  • Manage direct reports, including coaching, training, onboarding, and accountability.
  • Approve timesheets and expense reports, provide documentation and feedback, and ensure accountability among direct reports.
  • Identify potential risks, propose mitigation strategies, and communicate project status to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in the automation industry, particularly in distribution centers and warehouse operations.
