JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Director, SEC and Financial Reporting to join our growing team.

Summary: The SEC and Financial Reporting Director will have a critical role in the preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and reports for US GAAP based financial reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Financial Close and Reporting

Review SEC filings, including the annual report on Form 10-K and quarterly report on Form 10-Q Review detailed work papers for assigned areas to support disclosures included in the financial statements and SEC filings (e.g., footnotes, MD&A). Analyze information and fluctuation analyses submitted by business units and corporate, accuracy and compliance with US GAAP; identify/resolve discrepancies and report financial misstatements in accordance with our accounting policies and SOX controls Review stock compensation expense calculations and related disclosures. Manage goodwill impairment testing and validation Direct and support SEC reporting team, fostering their professional growth and development. Assist in the review of quarterly earnings releases and support earnings release process Support and manage internal and external audit requests for financial statement annual audit and quarterly reviews Independently research and analyze accounting matters and disclosure requirements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Draft and/or review relevant documentation supporting conclusions. Contribute to the Company’s interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards Assist in the consolidation, intercompany accounting and elimination process Other reporting as needed

Other Projects

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations Work closely with various business partners to obtain required internal financial reporting information and develop improvements to the reporting process Work with various business partners on continuous optimization of the global record to report process to streamline and shorten the close timeline Improve and maintain documentation and training materials for assigned responsibilities Participate in the enhancements of financial consolidation and reporting software, and implementation of enterprise resource planning as needed Participate in ad hoc projects as needed

Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year college or university in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 9 years of accounting experience (including experience in public company SEC reporting and/or public accounting) SEC reporting experience is required Experience with preparing and/or reviewing fluctuation analyses, and accounting for stock compensation and goodwill measurement is strongly preferred Experience in a multi-national consolidation environment is preferred Prior manufacturing experience is preferred Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles. Understands P&L, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Advanced working knowledge of Spreadsheet software such as MS Excel The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with SAP, and OneStream is an advantage CPA designation strongly preferred
