Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Manager II to join our team at Truist Inc. This role will be responsible for leading the preparation, review, and distribution of internal and external corporate and bank financial reports and data submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage staff in the performance of accounting and financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, review, and production of financial reports and data submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Finance division to ensure the integrity of financials and sound controls and procedures.
  • Support reporting and analysis for various constituencies, including the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership, talent development, and mentoring for team members to improve their technical expertise.
  • Foster a team environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Ensure changes to reporting process workflow and/or data source are documented and communicated to downstream reporting groups.
  • Subject matter expert on accounting and regulatory reporting requirements and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Ten years of relevant accounting or accounting policy experience.
  • Understanding of GAAP and SEC/Regulatory Reporting.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including proactive thinking and teamwork to drive business decisions.
  • Strong personal and professional ethics with impeccable integrity.
  • Ability to work under difficult time constraints and manage multiple resources, priorities, and projects.
  • Excellent technical and research skills, communication and presentation skills, critical and conceptual thinking, problem-solving ability, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or advanced degree in Business or Accountancy.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience working for a large, SEC-registered financial institution or senior manager-level public accountant with extensive bank experience.
  • Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, and Workiva.
