Bookkeeper/Office Manager

A reputable general contractor in the area is seeking a Bookkeeper/Admin/Office Manager to be a long-term member of their growing business. They are rapidly growing and a FT employee is needed to ensure all office functions are handled appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Ensure accuracy of all financial data entries.
Accounts Management:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process vendor invoices and payments.
- Monitor outstanding customer invoices and follow up as needed.
Payroll Processing:
- Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare reports as needed.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
- Prepare budget forecasts and track expenses.
Communications:
- Answer incoming calls.
- Manage correspondence and replies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- 5-10 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and positive attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with standard working hours.
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
