The Senior Specialist, Payroll is responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll processing, data entry, legal filings, and reporting for all Exyte offices. Payrolls include union, non-union, contract, and salaried and hourly employees.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Inputs various payroll related entries into the HR system and Payroll system
  • Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmed reports
  • Prepares pay checks for delivery via FedEx to all locations
  • Liaisons between all offices regarding payroll related issues concerning both union and non-union payroll
  • Processes various monthly and weekly reports (or as requested)
  • Trouble shoots employee timecard issues and submissions weekly
  • Processes new hire documents
  • Reviews completed documents
  • Processes Personal Change Notices (PCN)
  • Inputs data into HR modules
  • Maintains files and records
  • Filing as required
  • Processes termination notices and checks
  • Assists in processing labor and payroll
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Availability to respond and take action to emails after work hours and on weekends as needed.
Show your expertise
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong PC skills including advanced Excel
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast working environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle required
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of Alight Payroll a plus
