Job Title: Principal Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant

At STEPS Talent, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant to join our Managed Services practice. This role focuses on guiding and assisting clients through day-to-day system support of Oracle Cloud HCM modules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to provide cost-effective solutions to solve business issues using in-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM Applications and industry best practices.
  • Provide high-quality client support by working with client teams to gather information and resolve day-to-day system issues.
  • Troubleshoot client issues by performing research, opening service requests, system testing, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with client teams to perform upgrade activities such as system configuration, testing, and end-user training.
  • Contribute to the overall support process by suggesting and executing new process efficiencies, documenting common support issues and workarounds, and minimizing future support requests.
  • Refine client requirements in detail, document, and present to the client for approval.
  • Identify and apply creative and innovative approaches to resolving system issues.
  • Work with Oracle to resolve service requests.
  • Participate in team training activities to stay current with Oracle Cloud functionality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.
  • MBA, relevant master's degree, or PhD (technical accounting, management system, Business Admin, etc.) preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of consulting or industry experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Payroll Processing, Garnishments, Tax Filings, and general knowledge of Payroll processes and procedures within an organization.
  • Extensive experience in consulting or a related role with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technologies and systems relevant.
  • Leading and managing different projects.
  • Solid grasp of various technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Oracle Cloud implementation methodology and the challenges commonly faced by clients and implementation teams.
  • Proven ability to understand client data movement to external systems and advise on impacts related to upstream and downstream systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage communication at the client senior levels, see the big picture as well as the details.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and manage priorities with commitment to quality and timely completion of projects.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver large projects, including understanding of business-related drivers and parameters.
  • Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning to stay current on trends and Oracle Cloud releases.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor other associates.
  • Payroll Expertise (ideally Oracle Cloud or EBS Payroll).
  • Local knowledge of Legislative Payroll Requirements.
  • Knowledge of common business pay practices.
