Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our dynamic team in Denver. The Field Technician will be responsible for conducting field tests, collecting data, and assisting with various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Location: Denver, CO (Travel limited to Denver metro area, within 40 miles of the city center)

Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Hours: Monday to Friday, and on-call every other Saturday. Hours range from 7 AM to 3-5 PM, averaging around 50 hours per week.

Compensation:

  • $20-30 per hour, depending on experience
  • Company vehicle provided (with take-home privileges).
  • Medical insurance (Cigna), Dental and vision insurance, Life insurance.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • 401(k) plan with profit sharing.
  • Paid vacation and sick time.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
  • Preferred: Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • Preferred: Experience in construction or civil engineering fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
  • Collect and record data accurately for analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with geotechnical investigations, including drilling, sampling, and logging of soil and rock.
  • Conduct on-site observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Operate and maintain field equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and contractors.
  • Prepare detailed and timely reports based on field and laboratory data.
