Job Description

 The Human Resources Intern will work closely with our HR team to support various administrative functions and contribute to the overall effectiveness of our Human Resources operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospitality setting while assisting with recruitment, employee relations, training, and other HR activities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Handle daily HR requests from employees and provide timely assistance and support. Assist in answering guest inquiries and addressing concerns related to HR matters. Answer phone calls and record messages for the HR Manager and HR team, ensuring effective communication flow. Support the HR Manager and HR team in managing appointment calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating activities. Assist in processing leave claims for employees and aid in accident reporting and filing insurance reports. Coordinate associate events and celebrations, including birthdays, anniversaries, and new hires. Participate in New Hire Orientation and annual training sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Collaborate with the Finance and Payroll team to address inquiries and assist with weekly pay requests. Perform additional projects and tasks as assigned by HR management to support departmental objectives. Assist with Telephone Calls and desk coverage on a daily basis  Coordinate employee engagement activities Help create and organize internal communications  Support new hire onboarding activities Help with the performance management process communications and tools Update and maintain employee records File HR documents accordingly (digital and physical files)

Requirements:

Currently enrolled or recently graduated in/from a relevant degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and guests. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems is preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. A proactive and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

In process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related areas. Proficient in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Power Point. Must be able to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the company and externally. Familiar with a variety of human resource concepts, practices and procedures. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
