Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide extraordinary service to participants, local unions, providers, vendors, and other customer service representatives through telephone, email, in-person, and other written communications. Your role is crucial in ensuring empathetic and efficient communications during each interaction. You will also be responsible for responding promptly and accurately to queries, explaining claim payments and denials, quoting self-payment amounts, verifying eligibility and/or benefits, researching eligibility or claim issues, and updating eligibility with outside vendors.
Essential Skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a working knowledge of basic plan provisions and multiple benefit schedules
- Clear understanding of the eligibility system, claim system, and the Reciprocity system (ERTS)
- Ability to respond timely and accurately to phone calls, emails, and walk-in participants
This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Rockville, Maryland.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM. The position is 100% on-site for the full 6 months. Free parking available with a bus stop right outside of the office facilitating easy access via public transportation. The initial training spans approximately 3-6 weeks, starting with classroom training, followed by shadowing calls, and finally handling calls with supervision.
