This role involves analyzing financial and operational data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to enhance revenue cycle management. The Revenue Cycle Operational Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle management, finance, billing, coding, and clinical departments, to drive process improvements and ensure revenue maximization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor revenue cycle performance and identify areas of concern.
- Conduct root cause analysis of revenue cycle issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle management, finance, billing, coding, and clinical departments to implement process improvements.
- Assist in the design and implementation of revenue cycle policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to revenue cycle staff on new processes, procedures, and technologies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends affecting revenue cycle operations and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Participate in revenue cycle projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and revenue optimization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle operations, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
