A Brief Overview
The Sr Clinical Data and Business Analyst serves as a pivotal member of Holy Name, responsible for analyzing clinical data, identifying insights, and translating them into actionable business strategies. This role involves working closely with clinical stakeholders, IT professionals , and strategic business leaders to optimize clinical processes, improve patient outcomes, and drive operational efficiencies. The Sr. Clinical Data and Business Analyst leverages data analysis techniques, business acumen, and healthcare domain knowledge to inform decision-making and support strategic initiatives.

What you will do

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large datasets of clinical information, including electronic health records (EHR), medical claims, and patient outcomes data, to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clinical stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements for data-driven projects and initiatives.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Performance Metrics Development: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track clinical and business performance, monitor progress, and measure the impact of initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize clinical workflows, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven insights and process reengineering.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that address clinical and business needs, leveraging technology, analytics, and best practices.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and workflows by clinical staff.
  • Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide training and support to clinical staff on data analytics tools, techniques, and best practice.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of healthcare regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to data privacy, security, and compliance.
  • All other duties as assigned



Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Science or related field required
  • Master's Degree preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in business analytics, project management, and process improvement within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Process Analysis/Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred or
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) preferred or
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred
