About the Role

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Coordinator to join our research team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clinical research data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical research data, including data entry and query management.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and protocol requirements, maintaining data integrity for all assigned clinical research studies.
  • Collaborate with research team members, including Principal Investigators, Research Nurse Coordinators, Clinical Research Coordinators, Sponsors, and Contract Research Organizations.
  • Organize and prepare for study-related sponsor visits, including Pre-Site Initiation Visits, Site Initiation Visits, Routine Monitor Visits, Close-Out Visits, Internal Audits, and Sponsor Audits.
  • Obtain consent for minimal risk studies and verify that all patients have provided informed consent prior to entering study-specific data.
  • Compare schedules of events to Case Report Forms (CRFs) to correctly capture study-specific data points.
  • Record accurate data by completing paper or electronic CRFs.
  • Resolve data queries accurately and within study-specific timeframes.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of research supplies necessary for research activities.
  • Centrifuge human specimens per study-specific laboratory manual guidelines as needed.
  • Process and ship human specimens and biologic agents per protocol guidelines and Federal Regulations as needed.
  • Maintain timely patient follow-up by accurately reviewing the study-specific follow-up schedule in the protocol and completing follow-up CRFs.
  • Prepare reports, including enrollment logs, which assist with institutional statistical analysis.
  • Attend and actively participate in division meetings, sponsor meetings, and research meetings, and conferences/in-service education sessions as required.
Requirements
  • BA/BS diploma/degree in a science or healthcare field, or minimum of 2 or more years of experience in a related area with a High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and handle multiple deadline-driven tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
