Rothman Ortho is looking for a Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant to join our team The Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant is a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or Athletic Trainer that provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties. Job Title:  Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant

Hours:  7:30am - 4:30pm (40 hrs/wk)

Responsibilities:

Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room. Directs patient to surgery scheduling and/or front desk for checkout. Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter. Cleans and autoclaves instruments. Provides and scans proper paperwork to the chart for Physician's review. Records vitals as per Physician's request. Prepares injections for the Physician. Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam. Assists patient with clothing when necessary. Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full. Answers telephones in patient areas and provides voicemail coverage for Physician. Requests reports for various facilities for Physicians. Empties and restocks laundry. Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order. Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart. Completes pre-certifications for MRI's and other Physician orders as necessary. Send Visco Injection authorization request to supplement pre-certification representative Scans information into patient record (including all Physician orders, prescriptions, etc. on the date of service). Covers other areas in the office when not assigned to a Physician. Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED minimum education requirement Must have active, valid CCMA, CRMA, LPN licensure, or BOC & ATC licensure 2+ years of MA, LPN, or ATC experience required Computer skills including, bu tnot limited to, MS Office Suite and EMR system(s)
