The Nurse Manager, Surgical Services will report directly to the Director of Nursing. This role involves close collaboration with other nurse managers, department heads, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless operations and superior patient care.

The Surgical Services unit encompasses multiple operating rooms and recovery areas designed to provide top-tier surgical care. Our team of skilled surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff work cohesively to deliver exceptional surgical outcomes for a variety of procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Surgical Services unit, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and standards of care.
  • Manage and support nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective unit operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between surgical staff, patients, and their families to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.

Requirements:

  • Nursing Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within surgical services or a similar clinical area will earn a quick interview
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
