Supervise & coordinate activities of employees over all shifts Investigates & implements capital equipment to improve productivity Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, safety, on-time delivery and throughput Ensure flexibility with employees (cross train) Work cross-functionally with other organizational disciplines Maintain appropriate workforce to meet production levels, move employees to different jobs when needed Approve, update and maintain vacations schedules Develop & implement employee training programs Coach/discipline employees as needed Communicate material requirements to maintain necessary inventory Ensure a safe work environment by following set procedures Maintain department budget to plan Control and reduce cost of MRO supply Interview potential employees for open positions Responsible for securing the plant after operating hours Must provide/produce various reports & analysis using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Perform other duties as assignedTravel: Minimal
